2026 Legislative coverage

When I approached my news director asking to make a weekly wrap to summarize all the bills put into the hopper and sponsored by each Hall County delegate, I though he would think I am insane.

It was not an easy task. I recall working weekends I had off for a few hours to get the last few summaries into the articles just to post them to Facebook and see them get only a handful of likes.

But this act fits the overarching theme of my reporting: informing a civic-minded public. Even if just one Hall County citizen read these wraps and came away with new knowledge, it was worth it. Those wraps are in bullet points below, as well as individual stories on specific bills and the special called session below.
